Let's get one fact straight! Throughout your life as a college student, the most difficult part is utilizing the apparently sparse time (just 24 hrs!!) to the fullest, time management! There's so much to do in those short little 24 hrs! Attending college, fulfilling social commitments, spending time with your family, work out, SLEEP: the list is endless! Seems impossible, keeping all the three vertices of the triangle : Study, Sleep and Social equal-weighted. Trying to manage all these at the same time can leave you mixed up between stuff, feeling aimless!
Do not try to manage time, instead, try to manage all your activities within time. Once you realize the art of time management, you will eventually be able to fulfill all your activities and hence, manage yourself. Here are some ways in which you can make most of the time at your disposal.
2. Power Hour
Power-Hour. It's that one particularly uninterrupted hour(or hours) of the day in which you are at your productive-best. For some, it can be that early hour in the morning, while for some, it may be late at night! Being your most high-yielding hour, it is apt to schedule your most important or difficult task at this time. It can be hence completed at a much increased pace and with little difficulty. So, figure out your Power-hour and work it off!
3. Physiological Pattern
All of us have a varied sleeping pattern, varied levels of concentration during various parts of the day. Understand your own psychological pattern. Mark out your most alert times during the day. This will help you in setting up a schedule while getting those precious hours of sleep according to your body and mind. One can often have a different pattern than your friend or colleagues, so depending upon your friends and scheduling your day according to them is not always profitable. You should have your own timetable suiting your physiology.
#4. Dead Time
What do you do when you are traveling back home from college, or waiting for a friend (everyone has a late-comer friend, if you don't, it's probably you!!). If you're just staring out of the window, you're wasting valuable time. Instead, you could be brainstorming for your next project, or sending emails, listening to that new song your friend suggested! You can also use this free time to relieve some stress, do some breathing exercises, rejuvenate yourself!
#5. Take A Break
We don't get leisure days, when you can blissfully spend the whole day relaxing. You clearly can't be on the go all the time, or you might end up burning yourself out! Hence, you should give yourself breaks from time to time. Taking breaks between tasks not only reduces stress, but also ensures that you can be productive for the next task too. Take a moment, unplug and breathe, do whatever resets your soul. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is key to being able to function effectively.

The bad news is: Time Flies. The good news: You're The Pilot.
So, take charge, know your time and get going!!
