As an engineering student myself, I know that books are opened only a week before exams. When the portion is declared, exam timetable is forwarded that is when we feel like it is time to see what is actually in our syllabus. Apart from that time we barely pay any attention to it. It is actually a sad plight because we sort of take the anger that we have for our education system on the syllabus which may be quite useful sometimes.
