Waded through the first semester!
As difficult as it may have been, we did enter the second semester. And, accounting to that, the results are also out. The way the results are announced may not be the most apprehensive or the most easy way to put them forth. The stress of seeing them, and not knowing how to figure it out, the stress at that instant of time, it's what all of us have also experienced at a point in our 4-year course.
So, to ease out you, here we have compiled the answers to some of the frequently arising questions that occupy your minds!
1. What is successful/ unsuccessful or held in reserve?
The first instance when you know your results are nearing is when you get that one link where in you put in your seat number. You may have gotten the response at successful or unsuccessful or held in reserve. The meaning of getting successful as the result means that you have passed all the 6 courses and are all clear. In the contrary, unsuccessful means that you have failed in one or more than one subjects. Held in reserve means that your result is yet to be determined due to some technical issues. No need to worry, as the issue is resolved you will be able to see your result. The final result as to what subjects you have failed in or how many can be determined only after the main results come out.Docheck out our video to have a clear understanding all these 3 categories.
2.When and where will the results be displayed?
Generally, the main results are displayed a week more after the link informing whether you're all clear or not. The main results consists of the marks you've gained in each subject individually as a sum of the internals and the final papers and the overall pointer scored out of 10. Anything about an overall 80% gives a 10 pointer.
The results are displayed in the college premises itself and the final copy of the same is distributed by the college itself. The time of collecting the final mark sheet in case you've cleared all the subjects is given by the college itself.
3.What to do if you've failed a subject?
If you get an unsuccessful in the first time of the result, you have to wait till the final result to come out to know in how many and what subjects have to failed. After you come to know of that, there are two options, depending upon the score: to either apply for revaluation or give the exam for that subject/subjects in the next semester again.
4.How to apply for a revaluation?
Revaluation is basically requesting for your paper to be evaluated i.e. checked again. There are two cases in which you can apply for it: either you have got marks less than expected or you have failed a subject. The University generally specifies a particular deadline for application of revaluation. The form for the same is available in the college office and the payment and remaining formalities are completed through the office itself.
5.How to apply for re-exam?
In case you have failed a subject or more than one subjects, you need to give a re-exam which is conducted along with the final exams conducted for the next semester. To have a look at the your paper, you may also apply for a photocopy of the answer sheet too. The form and formalities are completed via the college office itself.
These are some of the questions that frequent the mind first during the results. Being the first of its kind, and a very different way of compiling the results, it may seem a bit different and difficult to comprehend. But, we're here to help, and this was a step towards it.
