These are some of the questions that frequent the mind first during the results. Being the first of its kind, and a very different way of compiling the results, it may seem a bit different and difficult to comprehend. But, we're here to help, and this was a step towards it.
Here are some FAQs that you might have while looking at the results:-
1.What is * mark in my result?
The symbol * indicates that you have been awarded grace marks in that particular subject. You can only be awarded grace marks in only one subject.
2.How much grace marks can I get?
Grace marks are only awarded if you fail in one subject and clear the rest. The maximum grace marks awarded are 8 marks. So suppose you have only failed in Mechanics and cleared the rest, so you are eligible to 8 grace marks which means that if you score in the range of 24-31 marks you will clear the subject with the help of grace marks and * symbol will appear below that subject.
3.What is Internal KT?
So internal kt means that you have failed to score more than 7 marks in your Term Test(Average of Term test 1 and 2).
4.How to clear Internal KT?
For Internal KT you don’t need to fill any form. The process takes place in the college itself. The subject in which you have got internal KT the faculty will inform you the portion for the internal KT exam and the exam will taken of 20 marks.
5.How is the process of Revaluation?
So you need to visit the exam section in your college ask them for the Revaluation form and photocopy form. Remember that photocopy and Revaluation are two different process. Photocopy form will fetch you a soft copy of your Answer paper and revolution will directly get to paper checked again. The results of Reval would be displayed on the college notice board .It may take 1 to 1.5 months.
6.What are disadvantages of Revaluation?
Revaluation is basically requesting for your paper to be evaluated i.e. checked again. There are two cases in which you can apply for it: either you have got marks less than expected or you have failed a subject. If you give a subject for reval there are chances that your marks can reduce also.So if you have just cleared the subject and you think that you can score more ,we would recommend not to put the subject for reval. You might get a KT. And for all those who already have a KT there is no disadvantage for you’ll . Apply for all the subjects that you think you can clear.
7. I have failed in 4 subjects will I get a drop?
The rule states that 5 KT and 3 internal KTs are allowed to be carried in the next year.Which mean that including both semesters you can have maximum of 5 KT and 3 internal KTs. So even if you have got 4 KTs in this sem you can try to clear them in the next semester such that you have less than 5 external KT and 3 internal KT in total including both semesters.
