24 hours a day, and 7 days a week !! But if you are a student, then this isn't just enough,
Truck loads of assignments to complete and vans full of projects to work on !
And not to forget the millions of co-curricular activities you indulge in.
Under such circumstances, it is already hard enough to spare time to learn and study,
isn't it ?
And to top it all, well, excuse us for having a social life too !
Relatable right ? Trust me, after all this time we all have the same questions in our minds.
How do we study smarter and not harder ? How do we put our efforts into the correct direction ?
We all have that one friend who might be the most chilled out person of the group, you hardly see him studying but when the results are out, he surprises you with an 'A'.
And there's no denying to the fact, that you might've friends who study all day long, but the results are not upto the mark.
Yet,again the same questions are raised !
So, keeping the fact that Learning how to learn is the most vital skill let's try to design some strategies for smart study !
1. Set Study Goal
Set small goals on daily basis and make it a point to accomplish them. In that way, the burden will be reduced to a greater extent.
2. Study multiple subjects instead of one
Instead of focusing on only one subject, spread your time to cover multiple subjects a day. Thus, It'll be easier to remember stuffs and confusion will be avoided due to too much information.
3. Create your own notes
In my opinion, this is the most effective way of smart learning !
While studying, make it a point to make your own notes, bullet points and short cuts. This will help you remember the content for a long term.
And since you have made the notes, in your own language and way, it'll definitely be helpful !
4. Review your notes instead of cramming
Keep reviewing your notes periodically instead of waiting till the last minute and then cramming the answers.
Periodic review will help you to move the contents from short term to long term and thus score well.
5. And lastly, take breaks !
Breaks are as important as concentration and determination while studying.
It is necessary to relax and take a break for a minutes at regular intervals while studying. This will improve your focus and rejuvenate your will as you resume your studying !
So, these were the 5 tips which, in my opinion will prove to be helpful.
Also, one last thing I'd like to add, always remember your study plan should be SMART :-
S : Specific
M : Measurable
A : Attainable
R : Realistic
T : Timed
Hope this is helpful. For further queries drop your questions in the comment box !
