  3. What are the limitations of an ideal differentiator using an op-amp? Draw the circuit diagram of a practical differentiator and explain how it overcomes the limitations. 

  4. With the help of a neat diagram explain the working of R C phase shift oscillator using an op amp. Derive the expression for its frequency of oscillation. 

  5. Differentiate between Inverting and Non-Inverting Comparator.

  6. Explain the functional block diagram of Timer IC 555.

  7. Design an astable multivibrator having an output frequency of 1 kHz with a duty cycle of 50% using IC 555. Assume C = 0.01µF. 

  8. With the help of a functional block diagram explain the working of a Three terminal fixed voltage regulator 

  9. Design a voltage regulator using 723 to deliver a load current up to 50 mA. OR Design a voltage regulator using IC 723 to deliver an output voltage of 15 V and load current upto 1.5A.

  10. With the help of a functional block diagram explaining the working of PLL IC 565.

  9. Explain serial communication in 8051 with the help of SCON register.

  10. Explain in detail with diagram ports of microcontroller 8051.

  2. How does the electromagnetic spectrum influence communication engineering principles?

  3. What are the different types of communication channels in communication engineering and their characteristics?

  5. Why is VSB amplitude modulation used in television broadcasting? OR Explain the use of VSB in broadcast television.

  6. Explain the working of ISB receiver

  7. How is the FET reactance modulator capable of generating FM signals ? Use a neat circuit diagram to explain the same.

  8. Explain indirect method of FM generation with the help of relevant phasor diagrams. 

  9. Explain the necessity of de-emphasis and pre-emphasis. 

  10. Compare AM and FM
